Rated 5 Stars| Nationwide Service | Freshness Guaranteed
Good Elf delivers real Christmas trees across Greenwich. We have done it since 2004. Every tree is freshly cut to order from British farms and brought straight to your door. We cover SE3, SE7, SE9, SE10, SE18 and SE28. Delivery from £5.95 on smaller packages. Next-day delivery available. For Christmas trees Greenwich households can rely on, we deliver fresh all December.
A fresh cut tree drinks well and holds its needles for weeks. Nothing sits in a cold store waiting for an order. That is the difference between a tree that still looks good on Christmas Day and one that has dropped half its needles by week two.
Our own team handles Greenwich deliveries. If you are out when we arrive, we find somewhere safe to leave the tree. Call after 10am on the day for an estimated arrival time on 0203 519 9997. We deliver to homes, flats, offices and businesses across the borough.
Every tree comes from the same premium grade stock. We do not split our supply into budget and premium lines. You get the best we have. Twenty years of December deliveries to Greenwich, Blackheath and Woolwich stand behind every tree we send out.
Choose Your Greenwich Christmas Tree
Shop Nordmann FirNordmann Fir
Our most popular tree. Soft needles, even shape, excellent needle retention. The Nordmann Fir holds its needles for weeks. You can sweep up after Christmas without finding piles on the floor. Full shape, no scent. Good for homes with children or pets.
Shop Norway SpruceNorway Spruce
The classic Christmas tree with a lovely scent. Needle drop is faster than the Nordmann so keep it watered from day one. Strong branches hold heavy decorations well. Lower price and a traditional look. The right choice if the scent matters to you.

Where To Buy a Christmas Tree in Greenwich
Good Elf is the simple way to buy a Christmas tree in Greenwich. We select premium grade trees only, all covered by our Freshness Guarantee. We deliver Nordmann Fir and Norway Spruce, cut to order from British farms, on the date you choose. Call us on 0203 519 9997 if you are not sure what size suits your room.
If you would rather choose a tree in person, Greenwich has a few local names. Greenwich Christmas Trees has run a stall at the Clock Tower Market on Greenwich High Road since 1980. Karen Woolven Flowers works from the same market and hand picks British grown trees, with wreaths, garlands and potted Christmas trees alongside. B&Q on Bugsby Way at the Peninsula stocks cut trees through December.
Pick your own farms mean a drive out of London, so most Greenwich and Blackheath homes buy from a stall or order delivered. Both work if you want to see the tree before it comes inside.
If you would sooner skip the queue, leave it to us. Good Elf brings a fresh tree to your door across SE postcodes and carries it inside. No car, no roof rack, no waiting in the cold.
Caring For Your Greenwich Christmas Tree
Take a fresh cut off the base before you stand the tree. About an inch is enough. This reopens the vessels that sealed during transport and lets the tree drink. Fill the stand with water on day one and top it up every day. A tree in a warm room can drink a litre a day.
Keep the tree away from radiators and direct sun. Heat dries a tree out fast. The slower it dries, the less needle drop you see. A fresh tree kept well can last six weeks. If yours goes up on the 1st of December, it should still look good on Christmas Day.
The Norway Spruce needs more water than the Nordmann. Check the stand every morning. If the base runs dry even for a day, the tree seals over and stops drinking. Once it stops drinking, needle drop speeds up. Top the water up before bed and again when you wake.
After Christmas, the Royal Borough of Greenwich collects real Christmas trees in early January. Check the council website for collection dates in your area. Remove all decorations and tinsel first. You can also compost a real tree at home if you have the space. It breaks down fast and feeds the soil.
Greenwich turns on the festive spirit early. The Cutty Sark and the market sit under twinkling lights, and the riverside feels like a winter wonderland on a clear December night. A real Christmas tree in the window is the perfect place to start.
Greenwich at Christmas
Greenwich looks its best in December. The Old Royal Naval College, the Cutty Sark and the park draw a crowd whatever the weather. The market sits at the heart of it. A real Christmas tree in the window fits right in.
Greenwich Christmas Market
Greenwich Market runs a Christmas market through December. The historic market building fills with craft stalls, food and seasonal gifts. The streets around the Cutty Sark light up in late November. Worth an evening if you are nearby.
Blackheath and the Park
Blackheath Village holds carol singing and late-night shopping in the run-up to Christmas. Greenwich Park stays open through the winter for a cold walk up to the Observatory. The view over the river and the city is hard to beat on a clear December day.
