These terms govern your use of goodelf.co.uk and any order you place with us. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who we are

goodelf.co.uk is operated by Good Elf Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 08705038, VAT number 171 1332 46. These terms govern your use of this website and your purchases from it. By placing an order you accept them. They do not affect your statutory rights.

2. Products and services

We sell real, freshly cut Christmas trees, and we deliver, install, decorate and collect them for homes, offices and venues. Every tree is unique. Size, shape and fullness vary, and photographs are a guide, not an exact likeness.

All products and services are subject to availability. If we cannot supply your order, we will tell you as soon as possible and either substitute a product of equal value and quality or refund you in full within 14 days.

3. Orders and payment

Place your order through the website checkout or by email. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout.

We will email you to confirm your order. A contract forms when we send that confirmation, not before.

Give us complete and accurate details, including the delivery postcode and a contact phone number or email, so we can reach you about your delivery or installation.

4. Delivery and installation

We deliver across mainland Britain: in and around London with our own team, and nationwide by trusted courier. Delivery dates and any charges are shown at checkout before you pay.

Couriers deliver during the working day and cannot promise an exact time. Where a delivery is signed for at a business address, hotel, office or similar, a signature from anyone authorised to accept it counts as proof of delivery. If the courier cannot deliver or leave the goods safely, they will leave a card to rearrange. If the recipient does not respond in good time, we may charge for redelivery.

For installation bookings, make sure we can access the site at the agreed time. If we attend and cannot get access, we may charge for the wasted visit.

If you order several items, they may arrive separately.

5. Changes and cancellations

To change or cancel an order, email elf@goodelf.co.uk or call 020 3519 9997, giving at least 48 hours notice before your delivery or installation date where possible.

Fresh cut Christmas trees are perishable goods. The cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to them, so an order cannot be cancelled once dispatched. If we agree to collect a dispatched product, we will charge the cost of collection and recycling, quoted to you at the time.

6. Our guarantee

We guarantee the freshness and quality of every tree.

Two things sit outside the guarantee. Shape and character: a real tree is not symmetrical, and we do not exchange trees because of their natural shape. Care after delivery: a cut tree needs a stand with fresh water topped up daily, and a cool spot away from radiators, heaters, underfloor heating and hot lights. We cannot cover deterioration caused by care in your home.

None of this affects your statutory rights.

7. Complaints

If something goes wrong, email elf@goodelf.co.uk. Because trees are perishable, tell us within one working day of delivery where you can. We aim to resolve every complaint within 48 hours of logging it.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

9. This website

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will be error free or uninterrupted. Content may change without notice.

The content of this site belongs to us or our licensors. You may view it and use it to shop with us. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute it for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

10. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. We comply with UK data protection law, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

11. General

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place your order applies to that order.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still stands. These terms are governed by English law and the English courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
