The tree
A Christmas tree that lives on
This is a pot grown Christmas tree. The roots stay intact. The tree is alive. After Christmas, you plant it in the garden or keep it in the pot for next year.
We grow Nordmann Fir. Firm, deep green needles. Low needle drop. It holds well indoors for three to four weeks without shedding.
Sizes run from 2ft to 5ft. These trees suit homes where a large cut tree does not fit, or where you want a tree that goes on giving after the festive season ends.
The sustainable choice
A real tree you keep for years
A living Christmas tree does not end at Christmas. After the festive season, plant it in the garden. In good soil with room to grow, Nordmann Fir puts on several inches a year.
Smaller trees work well as long-term pot plants. A 2ft or 3ft tree can stay in the pot for two or three seasons. Move it to a bigger pot each spring with fresh compost.
Real trees capture CO2, including after they leave us. We source from sustainable UK plantations where every tree sold is replaced with a new sapling.

Good Elf guarantees the quality of product and service we provide to the customer. In the event of a genuine issue with the quality of the product we will happily replace the product.
However, our trees are real Christmas trees, a naturally grown product. Each and every one is unique. We will not exchange trees because a customer doesn’t like the shape of the tree. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Trees need to be looked after whilst in your care otherwise they will not be covered by the Product Guarantee. For the best results the trees should have a stand with a reservoir of clean fresh water that is replenished every day. Very warm environments will cause the tree to deteriorate. Under floor heating and air-conditioning will dry out the tree very quickly. These environments are not suitable for cut Christmas trees.
Real Christmas trees capture CO2 and they continue doing so even in your home. The Good Elf offers the most sustainable option for your Christmas tree selection. We are super keen on reducing the carbon footprint of our products as much as possible.
We only source trees from quality growers — growers with sustainable plantations and a solid environmentally friendly ethos. Every tree we sell wouldn’t have been planted in the first place if it wasn’t to be used as a fresh cut Christmas tree. That means a nine-year growing cycle of collecting carbon from the atmosphere. After your tree is harvested it is replaced with a new sapling to start the process again.
We use British grown Christmas trees to reduce our ‘tree miles’ — or Santa’s footprint as we like to think of it.
