A fresh cut tree drinks well and holds its needles for weeks. Nothing sits in a cold store waiting for an order. That is the difference between a tree that still looks good on Christmas Day and one that has dropped half its needles by week two.
Every tree comes from the same premium grade stock. We do not split our supply into budget and premium lines. You get the best we have. Twenty years of December deliveries to Babbacombe, Wellswood and St Marychurch stand behind every tree we send out.
Your tree travels by national courier and arrives before 2pm on your chosen date. We do not offer tracking. Call us after 10am on the day on 0203 519 9997 for an estimated arrival time. If you are out, the courier leaves it somewhere safe.
Choose Your Torquay Christmas Tree
Shop Nordmann FirNordmann Fir
Our most popular tree. Soft needles, even shape, excellent needle retention. The Nordmann Fir holds its needles for weeks. You can sweep up after Christmas without finding piles on the floor. Full shape, no scent. Good for homes with children or pets.
Shop Norway SpruceNorway Spruce
The classic Christmas tree with a lovely scent. Needle drop is faster than the Nordmann so keep it watered from day one. Strong branches hold heavy decorations well. Lower price and a traditional look. The right choice if the scent matters to you.

Caring For Your Torquay Christmas Tree
Take a fresh cut off the base before you stand the tree. About an inch is enough. This reopens the vessels that sealed during transport and lets the tree drink. Fill the stand with water on day one and top it up every day. A tree in a warm room can drink a litre a day.
Keep the tree away from radiators and direct sun. Heat dries a tree out fast. The slower it dries, the less needle drop you see. A fresh tree kept well can last six weeks. If yours goes up on the 1st of December, it should still look good on Christmas Day.
The Norway Spruce needs more water than the Nordmann. Check the stand every morning. If the base runs dry even for a day, the tree seals over and stops drinking. Once it stops drinking, needle drop speeds up. Top the water up before bed and again when you wake.
After Christmas, Torbay Council runs real Christmas tree recycling in January. Drop your tree at the Lymington Road coach station car park in Torquay, or take it to the recycling centre. Remove all decorations and tinsel first. You can also compost a real tree at home if you have the space. It breaks down fast and feeds the soil for next year.
Torquay at Christmas
Torquay comes alive in December. The harbour and the marina catch the festive lights, and the English Riviera wears the season well. Torre Abbey and the seafront draw crowds from across the bay. A real tree at home rounds it off.
Bay of Lights Illumination Trail
The Bay of Lights runs from late November into the new year. The illumination trail starts at Torre Abbey and ends at Torquay Harbour, lit every evening from 4.30pm. It is free and needs no booking. The lights and sound bring the waterfront to life through the dark evenings.
Torre Abbey Market and Ice Rink
Torre Abbey hosts the Bay of Lights Christmas market from late November to late December, with stalls of food, drink and gifts. An ice rink runs at Abbey Park nearby from early December into the new year. Both sit a short walk from the harbour.
Carols in the Caves
Kents Cavern holds its Carols in the Caves through December. You sit in the cave chambers to hear the choir, then walk the cave system singing carols by candlelight, ending with mulled wine and festive treats. Churches across Torquay run their own carol nights too.
