Rated 5 Stars| Nationwide Service | Freshness Guaranteed
Good Elf delivers real Christmas trees across Plymouth. We have done it since 2004. Every tree is cut to order from British farms and brought straight to your door. We cover PL1 to PL9. Delivery from £5.95 on smaller packages. Next-day delivery available. For christmas trees Plymouth families trust, Good Elf delivers fresh.
A fresh cut tree drinks well and holds its needles for weeks. Nothing sits in a cold store waiting for an order. That is the difference between a tree that still looks good on Christmas Day and one that has dropped half its needles by week two.
Every tree comes from the same premium grade stock. We do not split our supply into budget and premium lines. You get the best we have. Twenty years of December deliveries to Plympton, Plymstock and Devonport stand behind every tree we send out.
Your tree travels by national courier and arrives before 2pm on your chosen date. We do not offer tracking. Call us after 10am on the day on 0203 519 9997 for an estimated arrival time. If you are out, the courier leaves it somewhere safe.
Choose Your Plymouth Christmas Tree
Shop Nordmann FirNordmann Fir
Our most popular tree. Soft needles, even shape, excellent needle retention. The Nordmann Fir holds its needles for weeks. You can sweep up after Christmas without finding piles on the floor. Full shape, no scent. Good for homes with children or pets.
Shop Norway SpruceNorway Spruce
The classic Christmas tree with a lovely scent. Needle drop is faster than the Nordmann so keep it watered from day one. Strong branches hold heavy decorations well. Lower price and a traditional look. The right choice if the scent matters to you.

If you would rather choose a tree in person, the country around the city has good options. Dartmoor Christmas Tree Farm grows and cuts its own trees in the heart of Devon and delivers locally. Stacey's Christmas Tree Farm grows thousands of trees a year in rural Devon and cuts them fresh on the day. Plymouth Garden Centre on Fort Austin Avenue in Crownhill picks its stock from local growers each year. Plants Galore runs a christmas tree farm at its Plymouth centre too. Several garden centres around the city carry cut trees through December.
For a fresh tree brought to your door on the day you name, Good Elf is the easy choice. No car, no roof rack, no queue.
Caring For Your Plymouth Christmas Tree
Take a fresh cut off the base before you stand the tree. About an inch is enough. This reopens the vessels that sealed during transport and lets the tree drink. Fill the stand with water on day one and top it up every day. A tree in a warm room can drink a litre a day.
Keep the tree away from radiators and direct sun. Heat dries a tree out fast. The slower it dries, the less needle drop you see. A fresh tree kept well can last six weeks. If yours goes up on the 1st of December, it should still look good on Christmas Day.
The Norway Spruce needs more water than the Nordmann. Check the stand every morning. If the base runs dry even for a day, the tree seals over and stops drinking. Once it stops drinking, needle drop speeds up. Top the water up before bed and again when you wake.
After Christmas, Plymouth City Council does not run a kerbside collection, but you can take your real tree to the Chelson Meadow Household Waste and Recycling Centre in January. Remove all decorations and tinsel first. Local charities sometimes run a tree collection for a donation, so check what is on near you. You can also compost a real tree at home if you have the space. It breaks down fast and feeds the soil for next year.
Plymouth at Christmas
Plymouth comes alive in December. The Barbican and the Hoe catch the festive lights, and the harbour looks out over Plymouth Sound. The city centre fills with shoppers and the Piazza hosts free entertainment. A real tree at home rounds it off.
Plymouth Lights Switch-On and Christmas Market
The first Christmas market in Devon opens in the city centre in mid-November with the big lights switch-on. Shops stay open late through the run-up to Christmas. The Piazza hosts free family entertainment, with carols and Christmas songs from local groups and choirs.
Winter Wonderland and Ice Rink
Plymouth's Winter Wonderland runs from late November into the new year. It brings an ice rink, fairground rides, a music arena, a Santa's grotto and festive food and drink. The Barbican lights up too, with a Christmas trail, street performers and a snow globe.
Carols at Plymouth Minster
Plymouth Minster, the old church of St Andrew near the Barbican, holds carol services through December. Choirs from across the city perform, and other churches run their own carol nights. Check local listings for the current programme.
