Rated 5 Stars| Nationwide Service | Freshness Guaranteed
Good Elf delivers real Christmas trees across Leeds. We have done it since 2004. Every tree is cut to order from British farms and brought straight to your door. We cover LS1 to LS18 and the wider LS postcodes. Delivery from £5.95 on smaller packages. Next-day delivery available. For christmas trees Leeds families trust, Good Elf delivers fresh.
A fresh cut tree drinks well and holds its needles for weeks. Nothing sits in a cold store waiting for an order. That is the difference between a tree that still looks good on Christmas Day and one that has shed half its needles by week two.
Every tree comes from the same premium grade stock. We do not split our supply into budget and premium lines. You get the best we have. Twenty years of December deliveries to Headingley, Roundhay and Chapel Allerton stand behind every tree we send out.
Your tree travels by national courier and arrives before 2pm on your chosen date. We do not offer tracking. Call us after 10am on the day on 0203 519 9997 for an estimated arrival time. If you are out, the courier leaves it somewhere safe.
Choose Your Leeds Christmas Tree
Shop Nordmann FirNordmann Fir
Our most popular tree. Soft needles, even shape, excellent needle retention. The Nordmann Fir holds its needles for weeks. You can sweep up after Christmas without finding piles on the floor. Full shape, no scent. Good for homes with children or pets.
Shop Norway SpruceNorway Spruce
The classic Christmas tree with a lovely scent. Needle drop is faster than the Nordmann so keep it watered from day one. Strong branches hold heavy decorations well. Lower price and a traditional look. The right choice if the scent matters to you.

If you would rather choose a tree in person, the farms around Leeds are worth the trip. Methley Estate Christmas Tree Farm sits between Leeds, Wakefield and Castleford, with a cut-your-own field and thousands of trees grown on site. Swillington Organic Farm just east of the city opens through December for families to pick a fresh tree. Woolley Edge Christmas Tree Farm near Wakefield runs a tree train and reindeer alongside the field. Several of these growers stock potted trees you can plant out after the season.
For a fresh tree brought to your door on the day you name, Good Elf is the easy choice. No car, no roof rack, no queue.
Caring For Your Leeds Christmas Tree
Take a fresh cut off the base before you stand the tree. About an inch is enough. This reopens the vessels that sealed during transport and lets the tree drink. Fill the stand with water on day one and top it up every day. A tree in a warm room can drink a litre a day.
Keep the tree away from radiators and direct sun. Heat dries a tree out fast. The slower it dries, the less needle drop you see. A fresh tree kept well can last six weeks. If yours goes up on the 1st of December, it should still look good on Christmas Day.
The Norway Spruce needs more water than the Nordmann. Check the stand every morning. If the base runs dry even for a day, the tree seals over and stops drinking. Once it stops drinking, needle drop speeds up. Top the water up before bed and again when you wake.
After Christmas, Leeds City Council takes real trees at its household waste recycling sites, where they are composted. Remove all decorations and tinsel first. St Gemma's Hospice runs a tree collection across many LS postcodes in January, picking your tree up from outside your home for a donation. You can also compost a real tree at home if you have the space. It breaks down fast and feeds the soil for next year.
Leeds at Christmas
Leeds turns festive from mid-November. The lights run along Briggate and The Headrow, and the crowds fill the Victoria Quarter and Trinity Leeds. Millennium Square becomes the centre of the season. The grand civic buildings, the arcades and the shops give the city a proper December buzz. A real tree at home rounds it off.
Leeds Christmas Market
The Leeds Christmas Market sets up across Millennium Square, City Square and Bond Court from late November to just before Christmas. More than sixty wooden chalets sell crafts, gifts and gourmet food. Outdoor bars pour mulled wine and seasonal cocktails. Entry is free and the market is busy at weekends, so a weekday visit is calmer.
Ice Cube and Fairground
The Ice Cube covered rink returns to Millennium Square each winter, sat under a clear marquee with daily skating sessions. A Ferris wheel, carousel and a tall Star Flyer sit alongside it. The Penguin Club gives young children a safe way to learn to skate with penguin aids on the ice.
Carols at Leeds Minster
Leeds Minster holds carol services through December, with its choir leading a Nine Lessons and Carols service in the run-up to Christmas. Leeds Cathedral and churches across the city run their own carol nights too. Check each venue for the current programme.
